Even though The Purple Room is closed until Christmas, External Sounds are still very busy with other projects and gigs. The first of which is an appearence at DEAF which takes place from 22nd to 31st of October.

DEAF returns with its most extensive programme to date, including films, gallery installations, workshops, live gigs and club events. Now in its 11th year the Dublin Electronic Music Festival is a showcase of the best of Irish & International artists performing through the different electronic medias.

The sheer number and diversity of the different events on offer at DEAF this year certainly is a cause for celebration. It’s hugely encouraging to see so many artists, promoters and collectives taking complete ownership of the events they’re running for DEAF, with an all-round dedication and professionalism that is, in our experience, unprecedented and what truly feels like Dublin’s festival! A sold-out fundraising event in August – plus the simple fact that the programme has almost tripled in size since 2008 – offers further testament to the positive spirit in which DEAF is taking place in 2009.

External Sounds are very proud to have been asked to preform at this years festival. The External Sounds djs will be playing 4 Dame Lane as support to English Dj Luke Solomon on bank holiday Sunday 25th of October.
